Hi! Great review! thank you for sharing your knowledge. I wanted to know your opinion about this lens on an a6300 body. Since the 6300 don't have in-body stabilization, Will the image stabilization be an issue?

Hello, i just got the sony 24-70mm GM for fathers day and today and got to play with for a few mins before needing to go to work. I thought the lens was incredibly fast with taking the pictures. Definitely gonna give my sony a7iii a run for its money. My question is, does the Sigma also perform as fast?

Sigma is not well know about the construction quality of its lenses or its customer service. Indeed the last years Sigma has introduced many bright lenses with great optical quality at very competitive prices. However this doesn't always matter. Reliability, robustness and good services are hidden factors of a lens price. These factors are more important to professionals than amateurs who shoot occasionally and Sigma knows that.
Are you getting still from your video or is there an option to take photos while filming?
Can you tell me if it can be calibrated or does not need it ?!

The Sony is 4 years old and second hand still goes for $1,400 (used) – 1,650 (like new) depending on quality. That being said, it seems like a safer option to park your money into as an investment in terms of selling.. but if you’re running the lens into the ground, the Sigma makes more sense from this perspective

Man I haven't done much photography since 2014-2015, Doing research in preparation for buying an A7R II for my return to the hobby and I'm very glad to see that Jared is still making awesome content in the same format!
most pictures showed in this video are out of focus especially the eye focus, it reminds me that the sigma 24-70mm f 2.8 has a poor performance on the focus

The A7 doesn't have image stabilization, unfortunately.

To me, the capability to handle complicated scene lighting and accurate color reproduction more depends on camera body than lenses, the only reason you say not to buy Sony G Master is just because Sigma half the price, which I can't agree more because of my damn thin wallet
Jared, can you also test tamron 28-75mm F2.8 since a lot of people say that one is also brilliant yet even lighter than sigma's?
I bought the ef mount version and mc-11. That way it will be compatible across different brands should i decide to switch or upgrade later on

Hello Jared I know it’s been a couple of months since you posted this video, but I got to tell you I receive my sigma 24 to 70 2.8 DN lens, I almost purchased the g master version of this lens, I saved a lot of money the Sigma lens is a great lens, I also wanted to let you know I value your reviews on products I think you are one of the most honest guys out there doing this and I don’t think you would steer people wrong take care buddy.
