NY Deli Owners, Micki and Ramon Marrero
As native New Yorkers who relocated to Columbia in 1995, Ramon and Micki missed the foods they so often enjoyed back home.
For several years, their dinner table discussions centered on their dream of opening a New York style eatery here in the Midwest.
Through hard work and determination, they brought their dream to life when New York Deli opened their doors for business in February 2005. Since that time, they have expanded their services to include full service catering in addition to the eat-in / carry-out restaurant.
Moreover, Chef Ramon has retained an impeccable health inspection record since the opening of NYD. Ramon and Micki’s attention to detail and excellence extends well beyond the kitchen and is evident in all aspects of their business from food preparation to customer satisfaction.
